Fresno, Calif.----- Katie McIntee won the 100 and 200 freestyles for San Jose State University and the Spartans won both relays in a 168-131 loss to Fresno State in a women's swimming dual meet.
Brittany Heng was first in the 50 free giving San Jose State a sweep in the sprint freestyles in the Spartans' final dual meet of the season.
Brenna Bushey in the 100 butterfly and Cari Reiswig in the 1-meter dive gave San Jose State seven first-place finishes in the 16-event meet.
"I'm happy with our overall performance today. It was great to see our seniors perform so well in their final dual meet," said San Jose State head coach Sage Hopkins whose team finished with a 5-4 dual meet record.
Spartans Brittany Heng, Reiswig, Colleen Humel, and Kylie Fonseca were honored before the meet in Senior Day ceremonies. Humel led off San Jose State's winning 200 medley relay team and had three second-place finishes in the 100 back, 200 back and 200 individual medley. Fonseca finished fifth in the 3-meter diving.
The Spartans now have 2.5 weeks to get ready for the Mountain West Championships, February 14-17, in San Antonio.
