San Jose, Calif.--San José State women's gymnast Taylor Chan has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for her performances against Sacramento State on January 26.
Chan won the all-around with a career-best 39.025 last Friday night to help lead the Spartans to a 194.425-191.775 win over Sacramento State at The Event Center. Chan won her first career all-around title in just her third meet competing in the all-around. She won individual event titles on the beam as she tied for first with teammate Kaitlin Won at 9.750, and on the floor at 9.850. Chan tied for second on vault with a 9.800 and added a 9.625 on bars. She is the MPSF leader on floor with a 9.842 average and is fourth in the all-around standings at 38.675.

San José State travels up Interstate 80 this Friday for a quad meet at UC Davis with the Aggies, Seattle Pacific and Stanford. The meet begins at 7 p.m. inside the Pavilion.
