Jason Hawkins Resigns As San Jose State University Baseball Coach

Feb. 12, 2018

Jason Hawkins, San José State University's baseball head coach during the 2017 season, submitted his resignation effective immediately. Marie Tuite, San José State University's director of athletics, made the announcement.

In Hawkins' one season as head coach, the Spartans had a 19-35-1 win-loss record.

Brad Sanfilippo, appointed interim head coach in January 2018, will continue in that position.

A national search for the next San José State University baseball head coach will occur during the season. The Spartans open their 2018 schedule with a four-game, non-conference home series with Northern Colorado Friday, February 16, at San José's Municipal Stadium.
