San Jose, Calif. ----- Tamara Culibrk and Laura Malsert combined to win in doubles and each won a straight-set singles match to power San Jose State University to a 4-0 victory in a non-conference women's tennis win over CSUN (Cal State Northridge).
The Spartans (3-1) won the #1 and #3 doubles matches to take a 1-0 and captured straight-set singles matches in the #2, #5 and #6 positions for their second consecutive team victory.
"We did really the good job at each court today" said Jackie Wagner, who teamed with Savannah Sendar for a 7-5 win over Alcon Skyla and her partner Arpe Bagumyan.
"Winning today's double matches was the key. After losing the #2 doubles Jackie Wagner and Savannah Sendar did a great job at #3 doubles," said head coach Chad Skorupka.
San Jose State's next opponent is Grand Canyon in a non-conference match, Friday, February 10. First serve is at 11:00 a.m. (PT).
