Complete Meet Results

Colorado Springs, Colo.-- A historic night for the San José State women's gymnastics team happened Saturday night as the team won the 2018 Mountain Pacific Sport Federation championship with a school record 195.975 team score. The Spartans won back-to-back MPSF titles for the first time in school history.

Individually Chelsey Andrada and Kaitlin Won captured event titles. Andrada won the vault with a career-best 9.875, becoming the fourth Spartan to win an MPSF vault title. Won scored a 39.225 in the all-around to win the title and is only the third Spartan to win an MPSF all-around title.

After starting the meet on a bye, the Spartans started defense of their title on bars with a 48.775. Stephanie Relova placed second at 9.825, while Kaprece Nadonza and Won finished third at 9.800. Madilyn Probst and Ellie Pascoe-Long each recorded a 9.675, while Taylor Chan rounded out the scoring with a 9.625.

The historic night continued on beam as the team tied the school record with a 49.275. Won and Relova each scored a 9.875 to tie for third place. Chan and Andrada each recorded a 9.850 to tie for fifth, followed by a career-best 9.825 by Michelle Shalit and a 9.200 by Josalyn Ray.

After another bye, San José State rotated to floor and had to compete with just five athletes due to injuries. The Spartans went five-for-five on floor with a 48.950. Chan placed second with a 9.900. Andrada was next at 9.825, followed by Won at 9.800, Ray at 9.775 and Pascoe-Long at 9.650.

Heading into the final rotation with almost a full-point lead, the Spartans vaulted to the championship with a 48.975. Andrada won the vault with a career-best 9.875. Chan and Nadonza finished fourth at 9.800, followed by Won, Ray and Pascoe-Long at 9.750.

The Spartans won the meet with a 195.975, followed by UC Davis at 195.200 and Air Force at 194.975.
