Tucson, Ariz.--Spartans Taylor Chan and Ellie Pascoe-Long won event titles Friday night and helped lead the San José State women's gymnastics team to a 195.025 in a quad meet hosted by the University of Arizona at the McKale Center.

Arizona won the meet with a 195.725, North Carolina was third at 194.850, and Air Force was fourth at 194.275.

Chan won the floor with her second consecutive 9.900 this season. She scored a career-best 39.075 in the all-around to finish third and a 9.825 on vault to tie for fourth place.

Pascoe-Long tied for first on the vault with a 9.850. She added a 9.700 on bars and a 9.700 on floor.

The Spartans started the night on floor with a 48.600. Chan's 9.900 led the team and held up as the top score on the event. Kaitlin Won had a 9.725, followed by Pascoe-Long at 9.700, Josalyn Ray at 9.625 and Chelsey Andrada and Kendal Watts at 9.625.

San José State then rotated to vault and scored a 49.025, tying for the fifth-best vault score in school history and the second-best score this season. Pascoe-Long led the team with her 9.850, and Chan added a 9.825. Josalyn Ray scored a season-best 9.800, followed by Andrada and Kaprece Nadonza at 9.775, and Won at 9.725.

The bars team turned in a 48.525 in the third rotation. Nadonza led the team with a 9.775, then Won at 9.725, Pascoe-Long at 9.700, Stephanie Relova at 9.675, Madilyn Probst at 9.650 and Chan at 9.575.

In the final rotation, the beam team scored a 48.875, the second-highest beam score this season. Relova and Won each received a 9.800 to lead SJSU, followed by Andrada and Chan at 9.775, Michelle Shalit at 9.725 and Ray at 9.675.

Chan finished third in the all-around with a career-best 39.075, while Won had a 38.975 in the all-around.

The Spartans have a quick turn around as the team competes at UCLA on Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m. The meet will be shown live on the Pac-12 Network.
