San Jose, Calif. -- San José State's women's tennis team will host its Mountain West conference matches this weekend against Fresno State on Friday at 12:00 P.M. and will play their final home match on Sunday, April 15, against University of Nevada.
Sybille Gauvain, a three-time All Mountain West singles player and a two-time All-Mountain West doubles honoree, has tied for #5 on the San Jose State career list for tennis victories. This season, she plays primarily at #1-singles and #1-doubles.
"Team is looking forward to be home this weekend. Fresno State, University of Nevada are very good teams and very well coached. Very excited to be hosting Sybille Gauvain on senior day at 11:45 before the match," said San Jose State University head coach Chad Skorupka.
The Spartans have increased their record to 11 wins after defeating UC Davis, 5-2.
San José State won five singles matches against the UC Davis. Tamara Culibrk clinched the match for the Spartans after defeating Kristina Breisacher, 6-3, 6-2.
