Boise, Idaho. -- San José State women's tennis players Sybille Gauvain and Savannah Sendar were named All-Mountain West performers for the 2018 season, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.

For Gauvain,, a senior from Frejus, France, she is an All-Mountain singles player for the fourth time. Fifth on the San Jose State list for the combined singles and doubles victories with 130 prior to the start of the conference championship tournament, she is just the second Spartan to be named a four-time All-Mountain West singles player. Marie Klocker was the first last year.

Playing in the #1-singles position during the dual match season, Gauvain is 12-4. Her overall singles record this season is 17-9.

"We're very happy for Sybille being named All-Mountain West in singles for the fourth time. To be named an all-conference every year starting out as a freshman to the present is a great accomplishment for her and the entire San Jose State women's tennis family," said head coach Chad Skorupka.

In doubles, Gauvain's season record is 13-10 with five different partners. Sendar, a freshman from Horn, The Netherlands, earned her All-Mountain West Doubles recognition as Gauvain's playing partner at the #1-doubles position.

"We made a change in our doubles teams once we started playing dual matches and paired up Savannah with Sybille at #1. To have a freshman playing with a senior turned out to be a good move for them and the team," said coach Skorupka.

This season, Sendar has an overall 16-11 doubles record. She and Gauvain are 5-5 as a doubles team.

Gauvain, Sendar and the rest of the Spartans play their first match of the 2018 Mountain West Women's Tennis Championship against either Boise State or Colorado State on Friday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. (MT) at the Appleton Tennis Center.
