Recently, it was San Jose State University women's soccer star Dorthe (Didi) Hoppius becoming the first Spartan in years to sign a professional contract when she joined MSV Duisberg, the highest level of women's soccer in Germany.
Now, it's her teammate, Myia Wilkes, from Calgary, Alberta in Canada, continuing a soccer career, too, as a professional. The 2017 first-team All-Mountain West defender and three-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree signed with Medkila, one the 12 teams in Norway's Premier Division.
The 2018 San Jose State graduate majored in biological sciences and systems physiology. She shares her thoughts about what lies ahead in this week's edition of Behind The Shield.
