Two New Additions To The Spartan Athletics Department

San Jose, Calif.- Ryan O'Rorke and Nick Adkins are two new additions to the San José State University Athletics external relations team, as announced by Blake Sasaki, Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations.

O'Rorke joins the department as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Multimedia. He came to the Spartans after spending two years at Stanford as a digital media specialist and media producer for the football program. In his position, O'Rorke was responsible for content creation for the Stanford football social media accounts, website and YouTube Channels. He also worked with the external relations team to execute marketing strategies for the football program. Prior to Stanford, O'Rorke spent a year as a video production coordinator and a year as a new media intern at Fresno State.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, O'Rorke earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism. He is currently working on his Master of Arts in sport management at the University of San Francisco.

"We are thrilled to have Ryan join the Spartan family," said Sasaki. "His invaluable experience in digital and creative marketing will enhance the San José State Athletics brand as we move our programs forward."

Adkins joins the department as the Digital Media and Graphic Design Coordinator. He graduated from Colorado State University this past May with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. While at CSU, he was a graphic design intern for the Ram football, volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball programs. He created various visual materials for each of the programs to be used on social media and in mailers. Adkins also did freelance work for various schools and companies in the Fort Collins area.

"With the hiring of Nick, his creative skills will be a big asset in sharing the vision of the San José State Athletics brand across the department's digital, print and in-person platforms," stated Sasaki.
