Palm Beach, Fla.----- One of college football's top kickers in 2017, San Jose State University senior Bryce Crawford is one of 30 players named to this year's Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award watch list.
Crawford was one of two kickers last season to convert a Football Bowl Subdivision best and a Spartan single-season and career record five field goals of 50 or more yards. He was 5-of-8 from 50 or more yards, did not miss a field goal try inside of 50 yards and 14-of-17 overall.
One of the most accurate field goal kickers in San Jose State history, Crawford heads into the season with an 83.8 percent conversion rate (31-of-37). He was an honorable mention All-Mountain West honoree and a Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicking Award national semifinalist a year ago.
The Frisco, Texas resident also is a two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West honoree and a two-time San Jose State University Dean's Scholar.
Twenty semifinalists will be announced on November 1 and three finalists for the 2018 Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicking Award will be revealed on November 20. This year's winner will be presented on December 6 during the annual Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
