2002 "Kids Day on Campus"
The San Jose State Athletics Department hosted its annual Kid's Day on Campus this past Tuesday, April 16. Three local elementary schools, Christopher Elementary, Rogers Elementary and Lyndale Elementary participated in the day's events.
The children participated in a fun-filled on the San Jose State campus. They took a campus tour, played interactive games with current Spartan student-athletes and got autographs from various athletes. The inflatable Spartan mascot also made an appearance on the Tower Hall lawn to welcome the 150 participating future Spartans.
The children also received a Spartan T-Shirt with the San Jose State Athletics motto, “Championships come and go, but the game of life is forever!”
Kid’s Day on Campus was created to help local elementary school kids learn about the importance of staying in school and getting an education in a fun environment.
