2003-04 Spirit Squad selected

Twenty-three men and women were selected at the April 12 & 13 tryouts to represent San Jose State University as its 2003-04 spirit squad. For the first time, the Spirit Squad has both a cheer group and a dance team.

"Our tryouts were very competitive. The depth of the competition allowed us to diversify our squad and create both a cheer and a dance unit that will entertain people who attend Spartan sporting events next season," said Jenise Mills, head coach of the San Jose State University spirit squad.
