The second annual Spartan Student-Athlete Talent Show, put on by the San Jose State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, is set for Wednesday, November 28, beginning at 6:00 p.m. inside Spartan Gym.
San Jose, Calif. - You’ve seen their talent on the field, in the gym, on the court and in the pool, but do they have other talent? Come and find out! The San Jose State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting the second annual Spartan Student-Athlete Talent Show, on Wednesday, November 28, beginning at 6:00 p.m. inside Spartan Gym.
There will be at least one act performed by individuals from all 16 Spartan intercollegiate athletics teams. Admission is FREE for ALL students, staff and faculty with a valid Tower identification card. General admission is $7 for an individual and $10 for couples. Come see the other side of San Jose State Athletics and support your student-athletes off their playing fields. Last year’s event was a lot of fun, and nothing less is expected on November 28.
This year’s judges are University President Don W. Kassing, Vice President for Administration and Finance Rose Lee, a member of Spartan Squad, and a Target representative. San Jose State Assistant Athletics Director Ken McDonald will be the emcee.
Target will be sponsoring the event again this year and presenting a check for $1000 to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
The inaugural champion a year ago was the Spartan football team with a lip-sync of the Jackson Five. The winner for this second installment will gain bragging rights for the year, as well as free admission for all members of their team to the student-athlete formal in the spring.
