Terrence was on his way towards seeing his first significant major college action in 2001, but a knee injury in the SMU game ended those hopes. When he returns this fall, Tillman is a cornerback and special teams defender candidate. The fourth-year Spartan joined the team in 1999 as a successful fall drills walk- on candidate and redshirted that season. He did not see any game action in 2000. The graduate of West High School in Tracy, Calif., lettered in football (Coach Steve Lopez) and basketball. He was a two-time all-league player and set several school rushing and scoring records. Tillman is a San Jose State University "Scholar-Athlete" Award recipient. He enjoys playing video games and spending as much time as possible with his three-year-old daughter, Alissa. Terrence was born in Oakland, Calif., on July 11, 1980.
