A COMMITMENT TO SERVICE

SJSU Athletics takes pride in its commitment to participate in community service and volunteerism. We encourage all of our student-athletes to give of their time and abilities to a service project that gives back to our community. Such programs include:

Project TeamWork
This program gives our student-athletes a chance to act as mentors for the community youth, while also acting as ambassadors for the Division and the University.

Guest Speakers
Throughout the year, our coaches and student-athletes are asked to speak to audiences about a number of their experiences. This time builds community relationships with those who are excited about Spartan Athletics. It also serves as an opportunity for out student-athletes to speak to young people about the positive attributes of attending college and competing at this level.

Spartan Spectators
Our program invites local youth groups, business partners and non-profit organizations to see the Spartans in competition.
