Athletics Awards 5th Year Scholarships

San Jose State Athletics is proud to announce the recipients of the 5th Year Scholarship grant, as selected by athletic director Tom Bowen.

The 5th-Year scholarships are awarded to Spartan student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility, are committed to graduating from San Jose State and are in excellent academic standing within the University.

All 5th Year candidates were required to submit a cover letter, resume, endorsement from their respective coach and an academic evaluation for consideration. Finalists were selected to interview with Bowen.

"We are very pleased to award the 5th Year scholarships to these very deserving, very committed student-athletes," Bowen said.

5th Year recipients will be assigned job opportunities within the Athletics Department that will provide them with relevant professional experience towards their future career goals and objectives.

The 2007-08 5th Year recipients, with sports and majors attached, are:
