San Jose, Calif.-----Athletics director Tom Bowen and football coach Dick Tomey were featured speakers to 30 cultural exchange students from Qingdao University in the People’s Republic of China as part of a San Jose State University International and Extended Studies sponsored program.
In separate presentations, the two Spartan athletics leaders described intercollegiate athletics and football in America to the students who are attending San Jose State University for the spring semester.

Those students participating can earn academic credit from Qingdao University and a certificate of continuing education from San Jose State.
San Jose State and Qingdao Universities have been partners in higher education since 2004. This year’s group of male and female students is the second in as many years to be enrolled at San Jose State.
