CABMA Names Stacy Martin To Executive Position
Cleveland, Ohio-----Senior Associate Athletics Director and Chief Operating Officer Stacy Martin was named the third vice-president of the College Athletic Business Management Association.
Cleveland, Ohio ---- The members of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) Executive Committee have announced that Stacy Martin, senior associate athletics director and chief operating officer at San Jose State University, will take over as the 3rd Vice President for the 2008-09 academic year.
CABMA is an organization devoted to the establishment, maintenance and implementation of the highest standards of integrity and efficiency in the scope, policies and procedures involved in the management and administration of business in the athletics departments and associations of colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Martin has been a member of the San Jose State athletics staff since 2002. In 2004, she was promoted to Business Manager. Martin was named an Associate Athletics Director for Business and Finance in May 2006. Her current San Jose State duties became effective in June 2008.
For the last three years, she oversaw and managed the department's now-$20-million budget that finished with a surplus in each academic year.
The 2002 San Jose State graduate earned her M.B.A. from her alma mater in 2005.
