C.J. ARNOLD
Coming off a solid 2002 spring practice period, C.J. is competing for the

number-one job at free safety. Arnold, who saw most of his game action last
season as a special teams contributor, was credited with five tackles for
the season. A successful 2001 fall drills walk-on, he was an all-conference
player at Los Angeles Harbor College (Coach Scott Schmitz). He was credited
with 96 tackles and three pass interceptions during his 2000 sophomore
season.
Arnold graduated from Carson (Calif.) High School where he lettered in
football (Coach Mike Sakurai) and track and field. He was a 22-foot long
jumper at the prep level. His older brother, Charon Arnold, was a wide
receiver at the University of California. C.J.'s oldest brother, Junior
Arnold, coached the 2000 Los Angeles city championship high school football
team. Arnold enjoys reading romance novels. He is interested in a college
football coaching career. C.J. was born in Torrance, Calif., on September
18, 1980.
