The SIR’s (Sons in Retirement) Branch 38 at the Villages heard a 40 minute presentation on San Jose State Athletics, Tuesday at their monthly luncheon. The “Radio Voice of the Spartans”, Mike Chisholm, addressed over 100 members with topics covering: Spartan Athletics Leadership, Season Football Tickets, Spartan Foundation Donations, Student Success in the Classroom, Corporate Partnerships and Radio.

“It was easy to enthusiastically talk about Spartan Athletics to this group,” said Chisholm. “They were very receptive when I explained the increase in expectations in the entire department. I think they recognized the strides that have been made, and are looking forward to what is in store for the fall. It’s also a group that acknowledged the importance of San Jose embracing the Spartans. I hope to see many SIR’s at Spartan Stadium next season.”
