On Monday, March 12, Assistant Athletic Director Mike Chisholm was invited to participate in Branham High School's career day. Mike was selected due to his high interest career, ability to relate to young people, and natural talent as a presenter! The voice of the Spartans spent the morning sharing his experiences at San Jose State Athletics and touching the future a select group of young adults in the community.
After being introduced to the classrooms by Branham's Head Football Coach Kyle Padilla, students had the opportunity to ask Mike a variety of questions. Mike was impressed with the knowledge of the students regarding Spartans Athletics, "It is great to know that our Spartans are on the rise in the community - people of all ages are talking about us."
When all was said and done, Mike was able to touch over 100 students from Branham High School! "I enjoyed this event. It was my honor to be there representing the Spartans. I hope each student can take what they listened today back to their own lives and this presentation helped them feeling that they were capable of making anything possible," Mike said as he high fived a few patrons from the audience.
