The 2006-07 season was successful off the field for Spartan Athletics as hundreds of student-athletes, coaches and staff participated in community relations activities during the year.Over 2,000 hours of community service were recorded and nearly $70,000 in donations were put back into the community through the outreach efforts of Spartan Athletics.
Notable events during the year included the on-going relationship with the San Juan Bautista Child Development Centers and the overwhelming participation in Pat's Run' sponsored by the Tillman Foundation. In all, San Jose State Athletics participated in 56 separate community relations events during the past academic year.
