Valley Medical Center Bowl-A-Thon
On Sunday, November 6 softball coach DeeDee Enabenter-Omidiji participated in Valley Medical Center’s Bowl-A-Thon. Sponsored by BAWSI (Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative), DeeDee joined the cause of raising funds for Valley Medical Center’s patient recreational programs. The money raised will go to purchasing sport-wheelchairs and other necessary items for patients who will leave their rehab program without the resources to buy the necessary items to keep them active. DeeDee was joined by assistant coach Chuck Caldera. Chuck averaged in the high 100s while DeeDee maxed at 85. The Spartan softball team cheered their coaches on and acted as “runners” for the event. Joining the team was tennis Paralympian, Sharon Clark. Overall, the Bowl-A-Thon was a great success!
