Elliott Honored by All-America Football Foundation

Las Vegas, Nev.-----Kellie Elliott, San Jose State's Senior Associate Athletic Director, was honored for her contributions to the sport of football by the All-America Football Foundation at its annual banquet in Las Vegas, Nev., on December 20.

Las Vegas, Nev.-----Kellie Elliott, San Jose State's Senior Associate Athletic Director, was honored for her contributions to the sport of football by the All-America Football Foundation at its annual banquet in Las Vegas, Nev., on December 20.

“We are incredibly proud of the results Kellie Elliott produces here at San Jose State,” said Athletics Director Thomas Bowen. “It is rewarding to see that her accomplishments are noticed by others. The award is richly deserved and we say congratulations to Kellie.”

Elliott has a long and distinguished career in athletics, including serving as the Director of Football Operations at Stanford University under former coach Dennis Green. In her position of Senior Associate at San Jose State, Elliott supervises 11 sports, oversees seven athletic units including business and finance and is serving as the Tournament Director for the sold-out 2007 NCAA West Regional, hosted by San Jose State.

In addition to her many years of collegiate athletic administration, Elliott has worked for two professional sports franchises – the Huntsville Flight of the National Basketball Association Developmental League and the San Jose Sharks. As the first-ever President of the Flight, Elliott spearheaded the corporate sponsorship sales that generated over $600,000 and Huntsville led the NBDL in attendance.

Elliott has also worked the last two Olympic Games held in the United States. Most recently, she served as the senior general manager for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Committee. Prior to that, she was the regional operations manager for the 1996 Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games.
