<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>Thursday, October 13, 2006 Student athletes from the football team joined with Fischer Middle School staff and students in a classroom visit promoting exercise and health. Justin Willis, Charlie Kaine, Justin Paysinger, John Konye, Justin Cole, David Bowen, Kyle Dawson, John Hardaway, Mohamed Marah, Aaron Gilbert, Jordon LaSacla were in attendance.
The student-athletes dressed in their traveling gear and spent the morning and early afternoon in groups of two and three. Together with their teammates they visited five different Physical Education classes. The visits consisted of short presentations about health topics ranging from nutrition and the importance of physical activity. The visits were held outside on the basketball courts and recess area. After the presentations students got to participate in relay races and flag football games coordinated by the student-athletes. The visit is created to promote “health” as well as physical activity.
