Dominic Urrutia Joins Athletics Advancement Team

Dominic Urrutia was appointed as a Donor Relations Officer for Athletics in March of 2018. He currently assists with annual giving to the Spartan Athletics Fund, facilitating athletics fundraising events and donor cultivation and stewardship.
He joined University Advancement after spending nine-plus years as a student-assistant, graduate assistant and assistant director in the Athletics Media Relations Department.
During that time Dominic handled publicity for San Josà © State's men's basketball, women's soccer and women's track and field teams, while assisting with football. He's also handled publicity for baseball, women's tennis, men's golf and men's and women's cross country.
Urrutia graduated in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in broadcast journalism and received a Master of Arts Degree in sports management from San Josà © State's kinesiology department in 2015.
Dominic is a native of Lodi, Calif., and enjoys noodling in the nearby Mokelumne River. He holds the county record for catching a 70-pound catfish with his bare hand.
