Julie Stansberry became an Academic Advisor for San Josà © State University student-athletes in June of 2015. She currently advises members of the men's and women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, women's soccer, women's tennis and women's swimming & diving teams.

 

Stansberry is responsible for assisting student-athletes with selecting classes, arranging tutors, overseeing study hall hours and providing academic support.

 

Julie first came to San Josà © State in 2005 as a business office analyst. She has gained experience in multiple departments including compliance and student services. She has also held the role of coordinator for the SJSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

 

Prior to joining the Spartans Julie was a middle school teacher for 10 years in the Diocese of San Jose.

 

Stansberry has one daughter, Kaity, who graduated from Sonoma State in 2016.
