Athletics Department Staff Promotions And Additions
Matt Miller and Keith Marin received promotions, while six others joined the Spartan staff.
Keith Marin joined the San Josà © State University Athletics Department as the Business Operations Analyst in November of 2013 and was promoted to Senior Business Office Specialist in August of 2016.
His responsibilities include payables/receivables/financial reporting/procurement/deposits/and budget analysis. Keith also oversees the travel program for the Spartans. He approves travel claims/oversees travel cards/and assists staff with travel logistics. Keith ensures that athletics operations are in compliance with CSU policies and guidelines. Keith also assists with football game day events and logistics. Assuming the Command Post for football games he monitors radio traffic communication, records incidents, and acts as the liaison for Security/Emergency crews. Keith also is the IT liaison for the department.
Keith came to San Josà © State after spending two years as an event manager with Stanford Athletics. Working in the athletics department, he set up game day operations for football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, track and field, gymnastics, and various other intercollegiate sports. He also acted as the head counsel for the All-Sports Summer camp and implemented the curriculum for campers.
Keith is a member of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA).
Prior to his career in college athletics Keith worked various roles in the health and wellness industry. Some roles were Assistant General Manager, Assistant Member Services Director, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer and Facility Manager.
A four-year member of the Menlo College football team (2004-07), Keith was a second team All-Northwest Conference honoree on offense his junior and senior years.
Keith completed his Master's degree in Sport Management in 2009 from the University of San Francisco. He graduated from Menlo College in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
Keith resides in Mountain View with his wife, Frances.
