Athletics Department Staff Promotions And Additions
Matt Miller and Keith Marin received promotions, while six others joined the Spartan staff.

Matt Miller, a part of the San Josà © State University Athletics Business Office since 2006, is now the Assistant Athletics Director for Business, Facilities, and Events since May 1, 2016.
An integral part of the Business Office, Miller's duties and responsibilities are numerous. He assists with financial forecasting for both revenues and expenses and with budget oversight for the department. Additionally, he helps facilitate and report the annual EADA and NCAA Audits.
Miller now oversees the Facilities and Events Department that helps facilitate and execute over 350 events annually. His department also helps with facility maintenance and coordinating facility usage.
When he was Director of Business Operations and Home Football Events, his day-to-day duties included processing expenditures for travel and non-state funded expenditures. He was in charge of revenue collection and processing for the non-state funds. Miller is an integral part of the football game management team and coordinates all efforts for a successful Spartan game-day experience with the facilities and events department.
Miller started at San Josà © State in the fall of 2004 as a volunteer for then-Assistant Football Coach Keith Allen. He worked on a recruiting project while enrolled in graduate school at San Josà © State. Miller also volunteered in the equipment room in the spring of 2005 and was an intern for the Spartan Foundation in the spring of 2006.
Miller was the Floor Manager and Practice Coordinator for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games hosted by San Josà © State in 2007 and 2010. He also continues to assist at the Spartan Foundation's Annual Fund Drive meetings as well as other athletics department events.
He is an active member of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA).
A native of Zephyr Cove, Nev., Miller graduated from the University of Nevada in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and received his Master of Arts in Kinesiology (Sport Management emphasis) from San Josà © State in 2006.
