Paula Minklein returned to her alma mater in 2003 to serve as the assistant director of the Spartan Foundation.
The former Paula Ruhling met her husband Bob, a former offensive tackle on the Spartan football team in the early 1970s, at San José State. They have been married for 39 years and have two sons, Brian and Brad, and two grandchildren, Brittany (a student at San José State) and Aiden.
