Hawaii Ends San Jose State's Women's Tennis Season At WAC Championships

Jose State University in the opening round match of the Western Athletic
Conference women's tennis championships held at the Wathen Tennis Center.
The Spartans lost two doubles contests and three singles matches in
the team-scoring format. Once a side won a pair of doubles matches for the
first point in the team-scoring system, singles matches began. With Hawaii
winning three straight-set singles matches, the Rainbow Wahine was assured
of a team victory without needing to complete the other singles contests.
San Jose State finished the season with a 7-16 win-loss record and
a ninth-place at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. Hawaii
improved to 13-13 on the season and faces Fresno State Friday in a
quarterfinal round match.
