Chicago, Ill.-----Senior Rebecka Heinmert, a 2001-02 second-team All-Western Athletic Conference and academic All-WAC selection, was named to this year’s National Golf Coaches Association (NCGA) All-Scholar team.

Heinmert, an English major, met the NCGA minimums of a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average and competition in at least 66 percent of the team’s regularly-scheduled competitive rounds. The four-time letterwinner averaged 77.84 strokes per round and had a best finish of 16th at the Oregon Duck Invitational during the spring season.

The NGCA award is Heinmert’s third in as many years. She was one of six golfers from a Western Athletic Conference school and the only player from a Northern California NCAA Division I program to earn the national recognition for combined athletic and academic performance.

Heinmert joins Tracy Hanson and Vibeke Stensrud as the school's three-time NCGA All-Scholar award winners.
