John Glass is in his sixth year as a senior associate athletics director for external operations at San Jose State University.

He supervises the fund raising and major gift programs, the Spartan Foundation, marketing, promotions, sports information, the San Jose State Sports Hall of Fame and the sports of football, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's golf.
The 1975 graduate of the University of Georgia,
has 20 years of athletic administration experience and 26 years of administrative experience at the college level. He was the associate athletics director for external operations at Utah State University for three years before coming to San Jose State. Glass also spent 14 years as an assistant athletics director and director of athletic development at Colorado State University.
Glass began his administrative career in 1975 as the assistant annual fund director at the University of Georgia. He moved to the University of Michigan in 1977 and was the annual fund manager for the university's College of Literature, Science and the Arts and a senior development officer.
