Gallop played the past four seasons for the Spartans. She was a two-time honorable mention ASICS All-American and a two-time first team all-WAC selection. Gallop was the 1999 WAC Player of the Year and the 1997 WAC Pacific Division Freshman of the Year. Among her other accolades, Gallop was an all-region selection her senior year, a nine-time WAC Player of the Week selection, the most by any volleyball player in conference history and the AVCA/Sports Imports Division I National Player of the Week for November 15, 1999. She was the MVP at five tournaments and named to five other all-
tournament teams.

In the Spartan record book, Gallop has five career, four single season and one match record. She is the Spartans’ all-time kill leader with 1,966 and blocking leader with 456 total blocks. She also set career records for kill attempts at 4,423, kill average at 4.40 per game and block assists with 391. Gallop set the San Jos State single season kill record last season with 630 and the kill attempt record with 1,485. In 19999, she set the best hitting percentage record at .382, and the best kill average at 5.60 per game. Her only match record was set last season against Nevada when she had 82 kill attempts against Nevada.

Gallop ranks in three other San Jos State career categories. She is second in hitting percentage at .310, digs with 1,052 and sixth in solo blocks with 65.

Gallop also made an impact on the WAC record book as she is the conference’s all-time kill leader. She broke the WAC single season kills per game record in 1999 at 5.60 and the WAC matches only kill record with 312 and kills per game at 6.24.

With one semester remaining, Gallop will graduate in December with a degree in liberal studies. She stays active by playing beach volleyball in the summer.
