Jubilee Christian Church supports Spartan football
The Jubilee Christian Church of San Jose has named the San Jose State University football program as the beneficiary of its 19th Annual Celebrity Classic golf tournament held at Silver Creek Valley Country Club. All proceeds from the June 24 tourname

Dozens of volunteers from Jubilee and their congregation have been working for months to organize and run the event that begins at 10:00 a.m. In turn, they have been supported by dozens of celebrities including former and present NFL greats who will play at the tournament. Bill Walsh, Jerry Rice, Randall Cunningham, Brent Jones plus many other Niners, Raiders and celebrities from other fields and a mix of prominent business people from the Bay Area are scheduled to participate. Every foursome will have a celebrity that plays with it.
"San Jose State University is very fortunate for the support the Jubilee Church is giving our football program. This is a very thoughtful and generous gesture. And, it’s a compliment to Coach Fitz Hill and his staff as they continue to reach out to all segments of the community," said John Glass, senior associate athletics director for external operations.
