A 2001 JC Grid Wire first-team All-America choice, Justin is an offensive
guard candidate. Arrington, whose chose the Spartans over Indiana and Boise
State, also was named an honorable mention academic All-American as a
sophomore. The 2001 first-team all-state pick by the JC Athletic Bureau
was a two-time all-conference selection at Laney College (Coach Stan
Peters). The graduate of Alameda (Calif.) High School lettered in football
(Coach Mark Stantz) and baseball. He was a first-team all-league selection
in football as a junior and senior. Arrington was a first and third baseman
on the baseball team his junior season. One of his uncles, Jim Arrington,
was a basketball letterwinner on the 1969 and 1970 UNLV men's basketball
teams. Justin was born in Berkeley, Calif., on March 3, 1982.
