Matt Durkin and Nate Corrick named to "Louisville Slugger's" Freshman All-American Baseball Team
Right-handed pitcher Matt Durkin and left fielder Nate Corrick were honored by being included in the 2002 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team. Durkin was named to the first team and Corrick earned honorable mention.

The team was announced by Collegiate Baseball newspaper today and is headed up by the publication's Freshmen National Players of The Year in RHP Philip Humber of Rice, 1B Vincent Sinisi of Rice and 1B Darryl Lawhorn of East Carolina.
Durkin finished his first year with a 11-3 record and a 2.75 ERA. He tallied 85 strikeouts and 24 walks in just under 100 innings of work. Durkin did not allow a home run during the 2002 season.
Corrick was second on the team with a .353 batting average. He recorded 27 runs scored and 17 RBIs in 156 at bats. He also started 41 games in left field.
