Matt Witty Receives National Honor
The Collegiate Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) honors athletics business manager Matt Wittty.
Chicago, Ill.-----Matt Witty, San Jose State University athletics business manager, is one of five athletics administrators selected from a national pool of applicants to participate in the 2007 Collegiate Athletic Business Management Association’s (CABMA) annual convention.
Witty will represent San Jose State University at June convention in Orlando, Florida as a first-time participant under CABMA’s scholarship program. He has served the Spartan athletics as an assistant ticket manager and in various business operations capacities before accepting his current position as athletics business manager in 2006.
Witty is the only athletics administrator among the five scholarship recipients from a college or university that plays Division I-A football. The remaining athletics administrators selected are from Newberry College in South Carolina, the College of William and Mary, Southern Utah University and the University of the Pacific.
He is a 2001 graduate of Ball State University who majored in sport administration.
