Ralston Honored With Dinner, Award

San Jose State, his friends and family honored legendary football coach John Ralston with a celebratory 80th birthday dinner last Saturday at The Grill in downtown San Jose.

During the event, Athletics Director Tom Bowen, along with University President Don Kassing, presented Coach Ralston with an award named in his honor - the John Ralston Award For Distinction In Leadership.

The award will be presented annually to the coach or administrator who best exemplifies the qualities of John Ralston in his legacy as a leader and true professional.
