Reserved Group Tailgate Guidelines

Located just east of 10th Street, near Blethen Field, this grassy area is perfect for groups up-to 40 people. Each space is 50 feet wide by 50 feet in length and includes two single-game parking passes. There is a $100 non-refundable charge to reserve each spot.   Renting three or more spots may be available at a discounted rate.  Tents, tables, chairs and catering are available through third- party vendors for an additional charge.  Vehicles are not allowed in this area without prior consent of the Spartan Athletic Dept. Party Size
Party size should be no larger than 40 people per space. You are required to purchase an additional space if you have a party over 40 people. The space can comfortably accommodate two vehicles (two single-game passes included) and 40 people.

Companies
Companies may not issue products without prior consent from San Jos State Athletics. Food, drink, and other items may not be sold or given to the general public.

Industrial Cookers
All cookers must fit in your tailgate area. No cooker may be larger than a 55-gallon drum for safety reasons.

Caterers
Food and drink must not be sold at any time to the general public. Caterers must have permits and abide by all rules and regulations set forth by Santa Clara County and the state of California. Failure to properly follow guidelines will result in a cease of activity in the area.

Tents
Tents should be no larger than 10 feet by 10 feet without consent of SJSU Athletics. Tent vendors are required to have an access permit for delivery and abide all Santa Clara County and state of California regulations. Please encourage tent vendors to complete setup three hours to kickoff. At no time should tent stakes be installed. Have vendors use water barrels. Personal tents should be taken down before entering the stadium for security.

Public Restrooms
San Jos State Athletics provides port-o-lets throughout the tailgate area for the convenience of fans. Individuals may not arrange to bring portable restrooms into tailgate area.

Portable Generators
Portable generators are not allowed for safety and noise reasons, except for medical purposes.

Alcohol
All state of California laws and regulations apply to the tailgate area. Beer and wine are permissible - any other alcoholic beverages should be avoided. Please drink responsibly. Not complying will result in dismissal from the tailgate area.

Music
As a courtesy to other fans, music should be confined to your tailgate area. Bands are not permitted. All music must be turned off during the game. DJ’s are permitted but must not interfere with the enjoyment of neighboring tailgates. DJ’s must supply their own power; they may not use any outlets on the field.

Banners and Signs
Banners and signage recognizing businesses may not be displayed nor may promotional or political materials be distributed without prior written consent of San Jos State Athletics. Only companies that have corporate agreements with San Jos State Athletics may display their signs.
