Rolling Hills Middle School welcomed seven memebers of the San Jose State football team into their classrooms Friday, December 1. Aaron Gilbert, Carl Ihenacho, Bernie Lewis, Mohamed Marah, Norm Romero, and graduate assistant coach Kinji Green attended a 5th and 6th grade nutrition class to help promote healthy eating habits and the importance of proper nutrition. "The kids were very receptive and excited," Green says "they wanted to learn what to eat in order to be an exceptional athlete".

Random questions were asked to get the children involved in the talk. Questions regarding food choices that players make on a day-to-day basis in order to perform at their best were just one of many topics that were discussed.

"If you are going to run a mile, what types of foods should you eat before the run?" Coach Green asked; the students in the classroom wanted to know why the players could not eat McDonalds.

The student-athletes are extremely looking forward to returning next year.
