The Spartans’ only win in singles was at number-four when Coral Silverstone defeated Megan Schulman, 7-6 (8-6 tiebreaker), 6-3.
San Jose State’s other point in the match resulted from the Spartans winning two of the three doubles matches.
The Spartans now have a 1-4 dual match record.
