San Francisco Giants Coach Dave Righetti to Speak at Baseball's First Pitch Dinner

SAN JOSE, Calif.— Dave Righetti, the pitching coach for the San Francisco Giants, will be the guest speaker at the San Jose State University baseball team’s annual "First Pitch Dinner" on January 18 at the Three Flames Restaurant in San Jose.

The dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is a great way to meet this year’s team, obtain information on the team’s booster club and season tickets, plus discuss the upcoming season with the coach.

The cost of the dinner is $35 per person and more information is available by calling Coach Doug Thurman at (408) 924-1467.

The Spartans begin their 2002 season with the annual alumni game at Blethen Field on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1:00 p.m. The first regular season game will be on Friday, Feb. 1 against St. Mary’s College at Municipal Stadium. First pitch will be at 2:30 p.m.
