San Jose State Women's Tennis Edges USF, 4-3

Noelle Lee won a singles and a doubles mtach helping San Jose State to a dual match victory.

San Francisco, Calif.-----Noelle Lee and Helen Van each won a doubles and a singles match leading San Jose State University to a 4-3 victory over the University of San Francisco in a women’s tennis non-conference dual match.

Lee teamed with Ana Lukner in number-one doubles to defeat USF’s Gabi Ruiz and Caroline Tweeton, 8-3. She also won at number-two singles beating Tweeton in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.

Van and Coral Silverstone topped Carey Savage and Michelle Duncan in number two doubles, 8-6. Van then went on to defeat Duncan in number-four singles, 7-5, 7-6 (9-7 tiebreaker).

Jessica Borello recorded the Spartans’ other win, a 6-4, 6-4 triumph ovre Alyssa Samuel in number-six singles action.

San Jose State is 1-0 while USF dropped to 0-2.
