Spartans Forever is the name of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics’ planned giving program. With the expressed purpose of “Leaving a Lasting Legacy for San Jose State Athletics”, Spartans Forever directly addresses the challenge of providing scholarship assistance to student-athletes in perpetuity in the face of dramatically increasing scholarship costs.
Planned giving can be accomplished through endowments, bequests, trusts, annuities, IRA designations, and other methods tailored to your individual circumstance. The sole purpose of these future gifts is to establish a significant athletics endowment that will nurture and preserve Spartan Athletics and sustain a Culture of Champions...forever.
The goal of Spartans Forever is to build the current athletics endowment to $50,000,000 by 2010. Please note that there are many ways to establish a future gift now and not adversely impact your annual giving. In addition, depending on your particular situation, there is the potential to realize significant and immediate tax benefits from such a gift.
