Spirit Squad & New Dance Team Tryouts - April 12 & 13

The cheer squad is co-ed and performs at all home football and basketball games and select away games. They also perform at other various sporting events, campus activities, fundraisers and events in the community.
The cheer squad competes in summer camps. Last summer, the squad took first place at camp in the spirit routine and fight song categories and won a bid to nationals.
Being a part of the cheer squad or the dance team is a big commitment that takes 110% energy and dedication. However, it is also a very rewarding and exciting experience. If you are interested in being a part of one of these exciting groups, feel free to download an application and waiver. Join us at tryouts on April 12 and 13 in building SPX, room 44 B on campus!
The requirements to try out are:
You must be a student at SJSU in the fall of 2003.
You must have a 2.25 or higher g.p.a. for the current semester.
You must be available for practice starting in July
You must bring a $10 processing fee and a current photo of yourself 4x6 or larger to the tryout with your application and waiver
You must have a POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!!
For dance tryouts - you must wear a two-piece outfit to the try out.
