Introduction
A. Phil Champlin -Skyhawks Summer Employment [please refer to the handout that was given out at the last meeting]
a. Provide sports programs for children ages 4-14
b. Need energetic individuals with aptitudes in different sports.
c. Camps start from June 18th to August 24th. It is not necessary to work the entire summer. A four week commitment is requested and the hours
run in the morning and then in the afternoon as well.

pay: $9.00 per hour.
e. On-site supervisors are also needed for these camps. Pay is more based on experience.

. Summer School. See Ron Hannon or Rich Chew with your tentative schedule to see if it is feasible. Summer school is seen as another term, and because of this you are able to go to school full-time. Scholarships for summer school are reviewed on a case by case basis.

talked about the recent passing of a great Spartan supporter, Arm Hanzad and
there will be a celebration of his life. This is scheduled for Sunday, March
18th @ 2:30p.m. in Morris Daily Auditorium. Pat has requested that no food be
sent over to the house. Pat would love for all of student athletes to be in
attendance. She has requested there be two current student-athletes to speak
about their time with Arm. In addition, we are looking to have all of the SAAC
members serve as ushers for the celebration of his life. Check out the
www.sjsuspartans.com website as to where cards and the like can be sent. You
can also drop cards off at Ron Hannon's office.

Discuss Confederate Flag issue [please refer to the orange

NCAA and the NAACP were discussing moving the Final Four because of the states
that have the confederate flag. This poses a concern and there have been
changes that have been made. If there are suggestions they can be given to
Kirsten in the next two weeks.

Dinner Etiquette-March 20th @ 5:00 is an opportunity for SAAC
members to learn "Good Manners in the Doggy Dog World." This is in
place of our SAAC meeting. It is a dress-up coat and tie affair and it is
necessary that you discuss this with your coaches and present any concerns to
Tanika. Captains and seniors are whom we are trying to bring to this dinner
first and foremost. SAAC members who would like to attend must RSVP to Tanika

are needed for Read Across America on Friday March 2nd. This event is at a
middle school off of Tully Road. You go to the school and read parts of a book
to children and talk about your experiences as a Spartan student-athlete.
