Porte recorded the highest finish ever for a Spartan at the WAC Championships with a second-place finish on vault. She scored a career-best 9.850 in earning first team All-WAC honors. Porte was also the team’s best finisher on beam with a 9.800 and received second team All-WAC honors. She added a 9.700 on bars and a 9.275 on floor.
The Spartans recorded its best finish at a WAC Championships with a second-place finish. The team scored a 194.725, just .200 behind champion Boise State. The team score is the seventh highest in school history. San Jose State tied its best on floor with a 49.100.
San Jose State has qualified for the 2008 NCAA West Regional and competes at Oregon State on Saturday, April 12.
