Erica Moston has been named the Spartan Foundation Student Athlete of the Week for her performances at last week’s Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship.

Moston won the individual title with a two-under 214.  She was the only player to finish the tournament under par and shot a two-under 70 in her final round.  Moston recorded five birdies in her final round and led the tournament with 13 birdies over the three days.

Moston, the WAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, shot a two-under 70 in her final round to finish the tournament at 214.  She had five birdies in her final round and led the tournament with 13 birdies over the three days. 

Among the top-20 players nationally based on scoring average, Moston was named the WAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.  She has won three individual titles this seasons MountainView Collegiate, Ryder Canes & Cardinal Classic and the WAC Championship.  Moston has a 71.40 stroke average and recorded 20 of her 25 rounds played this season at par or better.

San Jose State next plays at the NCAA Regional, May 7-9.
